"Air Rage" Caused by Intentional Oxygen Deprivation;
Airlines reduce oxygen to increase revenues

All around the world, frequent flyers, territorial about armrests and fretful about footing, now secretly wonder if the person next to them is a business flyer or a berserk flyer!

Baggage Essentials...

A small number of airlines/carriers have imposed additional restrictions on hand baggage allowances. It is recommended that passengers confirm details with their airline prior to arriving at the airport - and keep hand luggage to a minimum.

Extra security means extra time, so it pays to be patient with any additional personal and luggage searches that might occur. It would be useful if the traveller carried only one piece of hand luggage.

Make allowances for the increased security. Before departing, check the flight is 'on time' and confirm your 'check-in' time. It's a good plan to arrive at the airport one hour prior to the  scheduled departure (UK domestic flights) and two hours prior to scheduled departure for international flights.

At many airports, shops, restaurants and bars are open as normal and all purchases can be carried on board the aircraft, although 'larger' items may have to go in the aircraft's 'hold'.

To be safe:

DO NOT pack the following items in your hand luggage:

Toy/replica guns (metal or plastic)
Catapults
Household cutlery
Knives with blades of any length (see also: Religious Artifacts below)
Razor blades
Tools
Darts
Scissors
Tweezers
Hypodermic needles (unless required for medical reasons)
Knitting needles
Sporting bats
Billiard, snooker or pool cues

Religious Artifacts

Some religious observers (for example, Sikh) might wonder whether they can still carry sharp edged religious artifacts on board aircraft? The answer is that no such objects are permitted in hand luggage, but can be carried in checked-in luggage.
